As we wait to hear news regarding the lockdown extension along with other countries around the globe, it’s beginning to feel that this is the new norm and we may still be in this situation in June.
Working, and home life, working from home, the whole focus changes and an approaching bank holiday loses its importance; its more time at home.
The pattern of work changes and the regular enquiries for materials and parts are reduced as education and research sites are closed. We see and hear from companies frantically pushing for deliveries for key sectors and among all this we reflect on how we need to change for the future. We are looking at those tasks, always a low priority in the background, which we can now complete and remove from our list.
We have published a blog everyday regarding our situation. It would be interesting to hear from anyone who has read these. Drop us line if you have time; it would be good to hear back.
The company continues to operate and function in different ways. We are busy and having to be more flexible as standard lead times will seriously affect people in critical areas. We thank our customers for their tanding when we have to make these changes. Our on-time delivery performance has changed but only slightly so again, thanks to our manufacturing team.
If we can be of assistance, please let us know. We have good stocks of material and if you, like us, were always planning a project, we can help with that whilst you may have time.
