In both new applications and in areas where technical ceramics are already being used, Precision Ceramics has the necessary expertise and in-depth knowledge to quickly find the best way forward for any potential application from prototypes through to full-scale production of components. And once fully up and running, the company can easily take the process one stage further by offering expert advice in the engineering of more demanding materials.

The ceramics we supply fall into two basic categories - machinables and non-machinables.

 MACHINABLES  are ceramics that are fully dense, require no post heat treatment and can be machined with ordinary metalworking tools.

Machinables are the perfect choice if rapid turn-round is required. They also provide the ideal basis for prototyping before moving up to harder materials.

 NON-MACHINABLES  are ceramics that once fired can only be machined using diamond grinding methods or other specialist machining practices.
