Precision Ceramics attends one major exhibition every year and this year, the company exhibited at the Hannover Industry Fair at Messe Hannover, Germany, from Monday 19th to Friday 23rd April.
Hannover Industry Fair 2010 has given a further boost to economic recovery, with benefits set to flow through to the industrial sector over the next few months. Exhibitors are feeling upbeat about their future prospects: "The mood at Hannover Industry Fair is always a good indicator of industry sentiment, so we can now confidently speak of an upswing," commented Deutsche Messe Managing Board Chairman Wolfram von Fritsch at the end-of-show press conference in Hannover on Friday 23rd April. "Although the first part of the show was indeed severely impacted by the air travel bans caused by the Icelandic volcano eruption, the last two days of the exhibition made up for part of this".
"Exhibitors have reported many promising talks on projects, investment plans and deals which will contribute to enhanced utilization of capacity over the weeks and months to come," he added. "Last year people came here in need of orientation; this year they came strictly to do business. The strengths of Hannover Industry Fair were leveraged to good advantage in this phase of the cycle, giving a real boost to business activity. Some exhibitors even managed to generate returns on a par with the boom year of 2008".
Despite all the problems of Mother Nature, the Precision Ceramics Stand was ready to receive visitors from 9.00 a.m. on opening day. Having foreseen the ash cloud disrupting air traffic, Precision Ceramics Business Director, Geoff Randle, and Chris Bell who's company managing the marketing and promotion of the company, had booked a challel tunnel crossing and drove to Hannover two days earlier.
"
Due to the Icelandic Volcano causing travel chasosPrecision Ceramics was initially represrepresented by Geoff Randle, Sales Director and Sales Manager, Peter Bourne, who were on the stand for the whole duration of the exhibition to show visitors the latest technical components engineered by Precision Ceramics. They were also able to answer questions about new and potential applications.
